Some of his own words.

The kind of thing worth bookmarking, because you just know someone not too far down the line is going to try to bludgeon you with a charge of character assassination against this fine, honorable, patriotic public servant.

Oh, by the way; here's a keeper from the speech, which was dated July 2003, for those who might say the opponents of overthrowing Saddam were the same people who didn't believe the WMD intelligence:

I remain on the view that we will find biological and chemical weapons and we may well find something that that indicates that Saddam's regime maintained an interest in nuclear weapons ....

He was right about all that, actually.
