Photo Ethics In Snapshot

Access to Photoshop makes the following adage more important, not less: You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

And editors? You're supposed to be in service, however imperfectly, of a shopworn concept called truth, no matter how much more hip and user-friendly you find "truthiness" to be.

Got it? Or does it need to be brought down to a first-grade level for you? Well, OK:

No cheating.

[Note: The long drive home commences as soon as we make a last run through the house for stray items, which explains why I took the succinct approach to commenting on the Reuters faked-photo(s?) story, though I certainly would like to say more.]
