Worst Pop

Scott Kirwin at Dean's World wants your nominations for worst well-known pop songs ever. The crew over here should be capable at that. His picks are "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon; "American Pie" by Don McLean; and "Feel Like Makin' Love," by Bad Company, though he must be a young man because he seems to confuse the '60s with the '70s. I'd put "American Pie" at the top of that trio for sheer hubris. But I've heard even Don McLean doesn't like it. "You're So Vain" at least has a redeeming quality of tongue-in-cheek ("you probably think this song is about you").
Among other worthies already nominated in the comments: "Rock-n-Roll All Night" by Kiss. Really, you need a separate list for Kiss songs or else they'd rule in this one (e.g. "Beth").
"Light my Fire" by the Doors. See above comment on Kiss. The commenter sez: "They rhyme 'fire' with 'fire.' 'Nuff said."
