What If?

Imagine this, circa 1943:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- American editorial writers exploded in outrage today and global human rights groups vowed intense investigations after "Newsweek" magazine reported U.S. prison guards in Ohio had dropped, kicked, and even put into a toilet copies of "Mein Kampf" supplied to German POWs captured in North Africa.

German citizens across Latin America poured into the streets in deadly riots after learning of the "Newsweek" article.

The U.S. supplies a copy of "Mein Kampf" to every German POW, out of respect to their beliefs. "It is very useful in keeping us focused on our mission," said one POW. "And for hating Jews and whatnot."
