iran-rally

And here's the caption:

Iranian university students burn an Israeli flag, during a demonstration commemorating the 5th anniversary of the death of Edoardo Agnelli, late heir of the Agnelli automotive dynasty, who was found dead near the Turin-Savona highway, northern Italy, Nov. 15, 2000, in front of the Italian Embassy in Tehran, Iran, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005. The demonstrators claim that Edoardo Agnelli did not commit suicide as investigators established, but because he allegedly converted to Islam he was killed to make way for his brother Lapo Elkann, son of a Jewish father.

Actually, it looks to me like they're burning an American flag, but in Iran that's a meaningless distinction.

Anyone here ever heard of poor Edoardo Agnelli? Me either. Ever felt moved to troop out to the Italian embassy nearest your home, with flags and lighter fluid, and get yourself furiously, hatefully angry at the Joos because poor Edoardo is dead?

Me either. But they did. Look at the face on this guy:

this guy

Wild-eyed over something that happened in Italy five years ago to nobody he ever knew. Now tell me you still think it's OK if Iran gets the Bomb.
