The Trouble With "Scholars"
Is that "scholar" doesn't mean the same thing as "smart."

What I don't get is, if there are any number of genuine U.S. military veterans willing to speak out against the war in various ways -- and there may well be -- why the need to fall all over yourself to promote transparent poseurs? Maybe it's because generals aren't the only one with the tendency to "fight the last war." The anti-war movement seems to yearn for the same narrative. It's part of why they're pining for a draft. "MacBeth" gave them what they wanted to hear.
