Here's a different approach to dealing with Iraq. For those who are not TNR subscribers, Jonathan Last discussed the proposal in an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Disclosure (partial): I would not normally link to the TNR article, and I will not comment on its contents, because of my generally strict rule on not linking to articles related to foreign policy written by people with whom I am in some way connected. But the situation in Iraq is such that I think all points of view and proposals should be disseminated and considered. Because not everyone reads TNR or the Philadelphia Inquirer, I decided to make an exception this one time to bring Kurth's article to your attention.
