The article is titled "Loyal readers," and it's all about how newspapers are catering to the Baby Boomers to keep them buying copies. It doesn't mention the war or politics explicitly (it does talk about "nostalgia" features and "me"-oriented coverage). But look how it illustrates that key demographic. Next time you feel like your local newspaper was put together by Eugene McCarthy and edited by Abbie Hoffman, maybe this is part of the reason.
