If It Pleads, It Leads

This is pretty damned surreal. Skip the article itself, and just read the e-mail exchange, in beige-ish blockquote at the end of the piece. It all reminds me of one of my favorite exchanges from "Duck Soup":

Mrs. Teasdale: Your Excellency, I thought you'd left!
Chicolini: Oh no, I no leave.
Mrs. Teasdale: But I saw you with my own eyes!
Chicolini: Well, who you gonna believe, me or your own eyes?
