Contra Krugman

Round these parts (newsroom), Paul Krugman has replaced Michael Moore and Chomsky on the pedestal. He's now the man who sees and knows all, and who gives up numbers to prove it. Highly selective numbers, mind you, absorbed into the minds of people who never bother to seek out any numbers but the ones Krugman feeds them. Nonetheless, because he's an economist, he's got to be right. His book is now cited like Chairman Mao's, and is recommended more often, as the cure for what ails you, than L. Ron Hubbard's.

Here's a little counter-argument, just in case I need to find it in a hurry later.
