'Spheric Shifts [Updated]

Melissa McEwan of Shakespeare's Sister (which I read regularly) joins Amanda Marcotte (as Callimachus noted yesterday) in getting a paid gig with the John Edwards campaign. If you squint hard, I'll bet you can make out the writing on that wall. Go ahead--give it a try.
Meanwhile, the prolific Glenn Greenwald, in a detailed announcement, complete with numbered points, explains thoroughly, including but not limited to such items as when and why and under what terms and to whose benefit, that his blog, Unclaimed Territory (which I don't read as regularly, though it sure feels like it), is moving to Salon, where it will appear as a featured front page blog, and also where Greenwald will in addition be appearing as a contributing writer, in which role he will also contribute to the online magazine by writing at least one feature article, of unannounced length but no doubt of predictable tone, each month.
In other shocking news, it's chilly as hell here in Iowa, and getting colder.
Update: I note now, via skippy the bush kangaroo (in turn via Memeorandum) that Salon's Daou Report has been officially renamed The Blog Report. It will continue to be edited by Steve Benen of the Carpetbagger Report, and Jessica Valenti of Feministing has been named a contributing editor.
We're all anticipating Valentine's Day, and that's why Feb. 1 has suddenly become so significant for making announcements, right? Did I get it? Huh? Huh? Did I?
