They Never Learn, Case 2,475

Casey: Santorum changes his book's wording to avoid controversy

Casey's campaign is wondering why Santorum says public schools offer "weird socialization" in his book "It Takes a Family: Conservatism and the Common Good," but changes it to "strange socialization" in the audio version. Santorum also leaves out references to a cyberschool, Casey spokesman Larry Smar said.

Smar accused Santorum of "trying to re-spin" his more contentious statements. Santorum spokeswoman Virginia Davis referred questions to the publisher.

Tripped up by the paper trail -- literally.
