More little tidbits from the casual chatter inside an American newsroom:
From a reporter: Iraqis were "better off under Saddam." Something to do with "at least they could go shopping," and "sure he did some awful things to you if you stepped out of line, but if you didn't it was fine."
From an editor: Proud to only use a Citgo credit card because "Citgo is owned by Chavez, and he uses the money to build schools." To which a reporter adds, "and, hopefully, to take over the U.S."
