Update: And now, of course--well, "of course" perhaps only to me--I'm thinking of one my favorite screenwriters (yes, yes, I know he's thought of first as a director, at least now, at least more generally), whose work, upon experiencing it, rocked my very personal, in-my-head world, in ways vibration to temblor: John Sayles.
