Process of Elimination
More than a few people I know have expressed their election-year decision-making in terms like this, from Professor Bainbridge:
Hillary is the known commodity (which means, people know what they think and feel about her). You consider the other candidates, give them time to either make a case or make an ass of themselves, and then when you discover how much you dislike about each one, you hold him up to the template: "Him or Hillary?"
Except some people I know actually would go out and vote for Hillary if it came to that.
Mike Huckabee joins Mitt Romney on my personal list of candidates for whom I would not vote even if the only alternative is Hillary Clinton (in which case I’ll just sit home and complain).
